Description
Annapolis Jr. Rowing is a nationally recognized competitive rowing club for area youth grades 8 thru 12. The team generally consists of 85-110 members. Athletes are drawn from Anne Arundel County and surrounding area public and private schools. Athletes are held to both a high athletic, academic and moral standard. Many of our athletes will go on to compete at the collegiate level. Our athletes have/are rowing at: Cornell, Drexel, Duke, Harvard, Holy Cross, Naval Academy, St. Joseph’s, Syracuse, Tennessee, U.Penn, Virginia, and Washington to name a few.
Rowing is a year round commitment. Fall and spring are the competitive seasons and there is Winter Training at the YMCA and rowing in the Summer. The team travels from Boston to Virginia for regattas. They have also gone to Nationals at various locations such as CA, TN, and FL.
