Fun happens here! Summer at Garrison Forest is conveniently located just off of 695 in Owings Mills in a gated community on a beautiful 110-acre campus. With traditional day, specialty, equestrian and overnight offerings, there are plenty of opportunities to follow your dreams and explore your passions. The GFS Experience Programs are super unique residential programs that are the highlight of the summer! GFS Equestrian Experience (riding & polo), GFS Performing Arts Experience, and GFS S.T.E.A.M Experience are signature programs running July 25-30th for girls; ages vary from 10-17 depending on the program.
Campers will have an opportunity to explore their specialty during the day while afternoons and evenings will include on and off campus activities such as swimming, yoga, bonfires, arts and crafts, movie and game nights and more!
EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE: Come experience riding and polo, “Grizzly-Style”, at Garrison Forest’s stunning D. & J. Smith Equestrian Center and Sheridan Polo Ring located in the heart of Baltimore County! This week long overnight equestrian AND polo combo camp is for young riders who want to enjoy a diverse and fun filled riding and horsemanship adventure. Participants will spend their days with top trainers in the Hunter/Jumper and Equitation disciplines, as well as with top polo trainers learning the exciting sport of arena polo. In addition to riders learning the foundation and skills of each discipline, they will learn safe and correct horsemanship skills such as proper grooming, tack cleaning, parts of the horse and its equipment and many other aspects of horse care. Some riding experience required.

PERFORMING ARTS EXPERIENCE: Find your voice this summer! Join us for a rigorous and inspirational performing experience at Garrison Forest School. This overnight performing arts camp is for performers who already enjoy being on the stage and want to enhance their talents and abilities. Participants will spend each day of their week-long experience working with a variety of professional performers and teachers who specialize in dance, music, and theater. In addition to enhancing their skills in each discipline, there will also be opportunities to learn about stage combat, theatrical design, commercial acting and more. Performers will work toward a cabaret-style showcase at the end of the camp.
Presented by Rachel Waller, Performing Arts Chair
S.T.E.A.M EXPERIENCE: This week-long overnight experience will provide a “hands-on, minds-on” approach to introduce, strengthen, and enrich each student’s STEAM knowledge. Each day will showcase one of the cross-curricular concepts of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We will begin looking to the past and present women pioneers of science, followed by a set of experiences to engage and explore. Participants will have the opportunity to meet experts in the various S.T.E.A.M. fields and partake in thorough Q&A sessions. In the afternoons, participants will share their findings and observations, leading the way to extend their curiosities and investigate the concepts further. Each day will wrap up with a journaled evaluation that reviews the successes of the day.
