Maureen Martindale, M.A. is a private tutor and ADHD coach in Towson, Maryland. She has been helping children and adolescents with reading, writing, attention and executive function issues for over twenty years. She holds an M.A. in Writing and has over 80 hours of specialized training in reading instruction, including Orton-Gillingham, Phonographix and Lindamood-Bell; and in writing instruction, including Framing Your Thoughts and Fokes Sentence Builders. As an ADHD coach, her summer program includes one-on-one instruction in the executive functions: organization, time-management, prioritizing, memory and reading comprehension strategies, test-taking (including the essay question), writing (including note-taking, the three and five paragraph essays and 16 steps to the research paper). Her publications include articles on reading and attention disorders in the Maryland Psychologist and Student Assistance Journal, respectively. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD). References can be made available upon request.
